Wayne Szara is a Clinical Education Manager with ZimVie dental. He is a 33 year CDT with over 35 years of experience in the dental industry. A graduate of Triton College and Southern Illinois University with degrees in dental technology and vocational education.
This program will focus on digital technologies for the fabrication of CAD/CAM abutments for implant-supported restorations with the Encode Impression System. The benefits for this system will be explained in terms of patient comfort and efficiencies for patients, staff members and dental laboratory technicians. This technology is considered to have a “WOW” factor for the practices that have adopted it.
At the completion of the program, participants should be able to:
• Evaluate the clinical advantages of Encode® Emergence.
• Discuss the benefits of BellaTek®’s Ti-Bases and custom abutments.
• Explore the latest advancements in zirconia materials for implant-supported restorations.
• Demonstrate intraoral scanning tips and techniques for both tooth and implant-supported restorations.

Highly Esthetic Implant-Supported Restorations With Digital Solutions: An Update on the Latest Materials, Workflows and Techniques
Dr. Conejo is the Clinical CAD/CAM Director at the Department of Preventive and
Restorative Sciences, University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Philadelphia PA, USA. He obtained his dental degree from the Universidad Latina, Costa Rica and then completed training as a prosthodontist at Universidad Intercontinental, Mexico. He conducts research and has multiple publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals on CAD/CAM technology, prosthodontics, and implant dentistry. Dr. Conejo has been the recipient of several awards in his field, to include the ICP Research Fellowship in Dental Restorative Materials in 2016 and has lectured in more than 35 countries with emphasis on digital workflows for esthetic tooth and implant-supported restorations.
This program presents a step-by-step digital workflow designed to enhance success rates in single and
multiple-unit tooth and implant restorations. The primary goal of the lecture is to demonstrate how digital
tools can optimize treatment time and improve clinical outcomes.
